People always ask, "Why should I buy Shakeology?  It's so expensive, I can get this shake or that one for waaay cheaper & it's just as good."  Well actually, it isn't as good.  If you are comparing shakes, make sure you don't just compare the price and the calories.  Look at the INGREDIENTS - that is where the difference is!!  Here is a short video that the CEO of Beachbody Carl Daikeler made explaining why Shakeology is so important.....

When I first decided to get Shakeology, I mainly got it because it was a healthy meal-replacement, and it would help me lose weight.  That's it.  When I tasted it - it was pretty good, but had a weird aftertaste.  So I would have it every once in awhile, whatever.  I never really gave myself a chance to see the benefits of it, so I thought it didn't really work that great.

Fast forward a year or two....guess what???  They changed the formula!  It tastes waaay better!  I promise!  Also, since I am drinking it EVERY DAY for my Challenge Group, I can actually feel the benefits of it.  It has completely helped eliminated my cravings, I have more energy, I am losing weight, my digestion is better which means no bloating, etc., and it tastes like a yummy milkshake!  Best of all, I don't have to worry about getting all my vitamins and nutrients in - they're all there.  It's like eating 5 plates of salad!

Shakeology is a superfood, it helps with digestion, depression, menopause, cravings, bloating etc. I have even heard some testimonies of Shakeology helping medical issues such as, diabetes, high cholesterol, Lyme disease, and much more.

I'm so excited! Beachbody announced that after 2 years of testing, they are FINALLY putting vanilla Shakeology on the market!! Yum! 
Here are some of my favorite Shakeology recipes:

Butterfinger Shakeology:
1 cup almond or skim milk
1/2 - 1 cup water
1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
1 TBS natural peanut butter
1 TBS sugar-free Jell-O pudding, butterscotch flavor
ice, optional

Blend all together and enjoy!

(The fat-free Cool Whip was just for fun, but the nuts were actually pretty good!)

I tried this the other day - sooo good!  I didn't really care for the texture of the pineapple though, so since then I just add 1/2 banana instead - much better!

Apple Pie Shakeology:
This is really good and tastes just like apple pie! Yum!

1 cup cold water
1 scoop vanilla Shakeology
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Blend until smooth.  Enjoy! :)

Orange Creamsicle Shakeology:
1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
1 scoop vanilla Shakeology

Shake or blend until smooth. 

Banana Split Shakeology:
I know, nothing new - but I just made this today, and I think it's my new favorite!!

1 cup almond or skim milk
1 cup water
1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
1/2 sliced banana, frozen
2 frozen strawberries

Blend all together.  The frozen bananas and strawberries give it a more milkshake-like consistency.
