60 Day Summer Challenge Group

Okay peeps - I'm starting another challenge group!!  This one is going to be so much fun!  The official start date is July 8, so you can still have fun with your 4th of July celebrations and then get down to business the following Monday!

A lot of people have asked me what these challenge groups are all about, so I will try to explain them a little better for you.

What is it?  It is a closed facebook group (So no one can see what you post about unless they are actually IN the group.) where we discuss clean eating, menu plans our struggles and of course our workouts!  You don't have to live by each other - we've had groups from all over the country!

How does it work?  I will add you into the group on facebook - and it's totally FREE.  Every day we will discuss your diet, how you are doing with your workouts, and any needs or questions you may have.  I (and others in the group) will hold you accountable for your workouts/diet and motivate you to progress toward your health and fitness goals.  You will LEARN to eat healthy and develop workout habits that will become a lifestyle not a crash diet that you give up once the challenge is over.

What do I have to do?
1. You must be a member of my Teambeachbody Site. You can sign up for a free account by going to and create a user name and password. This just lets me be your 'official' coach.  I promise it's free - no sneaky tricks. :)

2. Together we will choose a program to meet your needs and current fitness level.
Note: Choosing a Beachbody workout is optional for this challenge. Although I encourage all participants to workout with one of the many Beachbody programs, it's summer! I know that many of you may be getting your workouts outside! :)

(I will be doing the new Focus T25 workout that was just released.  It's on sale the entire month of July in a challenge pack that includes a month supply of Shakeology!  Sweet deal!)

3. You commit to replacing 1-2 meals a day with Shakeology for the duration of the group. I require Shakeology because it is one meal that you don't have to worry about.  It will give you energy, control your cravings, help you lose weight and boost your immune system!!.

If you choose to discontinue Shakeology after the challenge, that is perfectly fine with me! But it definitely was the missing piece when I was trying to lose weight. Remember, cutting calories usually means cutting nutrients - this is exactly why diets don't work!

It's only a 60 day commitment and there is a money back guarantee. I promise you will be changed forever!!

4. You are an active participant in the challenge group. This means that you log into the closed facebook support group at least once a day to report and to see the daily post.

What is the cost?  Basically, just the cost of Shakeology which ends up being about $4 per day!  Not bad, huh?  If you choose to get a challenge pack, you actually SAVE money because you get a workout AND Shakeology for less than you can buy them separately.

What do I get out of it?  You get FREE coaching, motivation, accountability, and RESULTS!!  People who join challenge groups lose more weight, are more apt to actually COMPLETE a workout program and they are more motivated to continue a healthy lifestyle afterwards.  If you stick with the program and the Shakeology - I GUARANTEE you will have more energy, you'll lose weight and you will look and feel better too.

How do I know this?  Because I just finished a 90 day challenge group myself!!  I met so many new friends, learned I could do it, and finally met my weight loss goals for once!

Here are my results:

I am not stopping anytime soon and I am looking for a few people to join me!  I will be doing the challenge group right along with you. :)  Let's help each other reach our health and fitness goals.  Are you with me?

Send me a quick email, message or comment below to get started!!

Focus T25 - Available Now!

It has been such a great week!  First they released Vanilla Shakeology and now T25 is finally available!!

Get an hour's results in 25 minutes a day! Trainer Shaun T gives you everything you need, nothing you don't. 25 minutes. 5 days a week. 100% results.  Whoever said they don't have time to work out has NO EXCUSES now! haha

The only thing standing between you and the results you want is TIME. Shaun T experimented for the last year to design a program that delivers the same kind of results you'd expect from an hour-long program, in under 30 minutes. He's pulled out the rest to give you everything you need, nothing you don't. The result is FOCUS T25—and the name implies the intent: If you focus your intensity for 25 minutes, and you do it 5 days a week, you WILL get results.

T25 is available stand alone, or in a challenge pack, which includes a 30 day supply of Shakeology!  What better time to try out the new vanilla flavor! :)  The T25 Challenge Pack is on sale now through July 31 - don't wait!

Order your copy now, and join my exclusive T25 Challenge group starting in July.  Email me or message me for details.

Vanilla Shakeology!

Last week, Beachbody announced that they are FINALLY, after two years of testing, putting Vanilla Shakeology on the market! I've been using shakeology every day for the past 4 months as a meal replacement, and in addition to weight loss, I also noticed:
  • Reduced Cravings
  • Increased Energy
  • Improved Digestion and Regularity
Oh and it tastes delicious, too!

I definitely need to get this out there though - Shakeology is NOT a just a protein shake or a weight loss shake or a quick fix when you wanna lose a couple pounds. Those shakes you can find anywhere, but do you really know what you are putting into your body when you drink it?

· Shakeology IS truly different than ANY other shake on the market. Why?

  • Unique superfood ingredients
  • 70 all natural ingredients in each serving
  • As clean as it gets! Nothing on any shelf, anywhere can say all the above!

Fact: Did you know the ANTIOXIDANTS in Shakeology BOOSTS your IMMUNE system and helps reduce free radical damage that leads to heart disease, heart attacks, high blood pressure and strokes? Does YOUR daily shake do...THAT? Feel better, starting TODAY.

Email me or message me if you would like to talk about how Shakeology can help you meet your health and fitness goals.

Body Beast Women's Transformation

Okay, here it is!  I'm doing it - I'm posting my pictures for all the world to see!  This is super scary, you have no idea!  I just completed a 90 day challenge group using Body Beast and Shakeology

Here are my results:
Just to be completely honest, my last month I totally struggled with working out and even eating healthy all the time.  My son was graduating from high school, and those of you who have kids know that the entire month of May is like crazy town!  We had something going on EVERY DAY, not to mention family coming to visit.
So, I was completely surprised that I still lost inches!  I am not exactly where I thought I would be at the end of my 90 days, but you get what you put in, right?
Here are my stats:
Total weight lost: - 6 lbs.
Chest: - 2"
Waist: - 4"
Hips: - 2"
Right leg: -1"
Left leg: -1"
Right arm: - 1"
Left arm: - 1"
Total inches lost: 12!
I know some of you are thinking that 6 pounds is not very much.  But I lost inches ALL OVER which is EXACTLY what I wanted!  I am 12 inches smaller than I was 90 days ago!  I am tighter and less squishy, I'm stronger, my posture is better and I have sooo much more energy!!
My upper back has totally leaned out, and I can actually see some muscle starting to show.  I am losing my love handles and my legs are leaner.  I will definitely continue to lift weights because it makes you so much tighter!
Overall I really loved the Body Beast program!!  I would highly recommend it to ANYONE!  The workouts are short, I gained lean muscle and lost body fat and I never got bored - ever!  Love it!!
I am really looking forward to round 2 with maybe an Insanity hybrid - yes!  BUT FIRST, I really want to try Shaun T's new Focus T25 which comes out June 24!!! Maybe lose the rest of my middle.  If you are interested in joining me, email me for details at

Fit Tip Tuesday - Keep a Journal!

If you are starting a weight loss program, lifting weights, or just trying to eat clean - you need to keep a journal.  Pick out a brand new shiny and pretty notebook - something that makes you want to write in it every day!  Make it your new best friend!!

Page 1 is reserved for your goals.  Write down the reasons WHY you are doing what it is you're doing.  Really dig deep!

What is your long-term goal?  Be specific.  What EXACTLY do you want to accomplish?  Do you want to be able to complete a 5k or do push ups on your toes?  Do you want to decrease your waist line or drop a pant size?

What are your short-term goals?  What little things will you do to help you achieve that long-term goal?  Get to bed a half hour earlier so you can get up earlier to work out?  Eat 5-6 meals a day?

Revisit this page whenever you need motivation and want to remind yourself WHY you're doing this.

Page 2 will be for your measurements.  Write the dates and compare week to week or month to month.  Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Keep a food log.  Writing down everything you put in your mouth makes you more accountable for what you eat and can actually double your weight loss.

Write down your workouts.  How much weight did you lift?  What did you do for your cardio?  If you want to get better at something, you need to know where you started?

Write your thoughts daily.  What were your struggles?  What were your accomplishments?  How did you feel each day?  What can you do better?

I still have my old P90X journal from 5 years ago, and I love to go back and read it every once in awhile to remember that - oh yeah, I didn't see ANY results in the first 30 days, but month 2 was awesome!  Or - I DID have a few cheats here and there, but my diet was 90% clean and I felt great!

It will be a great reference later to see how much you actually DID accomplish and to see how many of your goals you totally smashed!  Or you can use it to help you so you don't make the same mistakes the next time around. :)

Good Luck!

My Weight Loss - (Work In Progress)

Do you ever have one of those days when you think you look pretty good and then you see yourself in a picture and you're like, "What?!"  I do ALL THE TIME!  Well, here is the picture that got me to make some serious changes -
Now, I will say that I had recently had a baby. (Well - who are we kidding, she was almost a year!)  And I'm sure the angle of the camera was bad, right? ;)  Anyway, whatever it was - I didn't like it!  I printed this picture out and put it up by my bed-side table so I could look at it every morning when my alarm went off.  I lost at least 15 lbs in 5 months.  I can't remember because I didn't ever do before pics and measurements.
Here is me in November of 2011.
Then I felt pretty good, so I relaxed again all winter.  Then in the spring of 2012 it started all over with me trying to lose weight before summer so I could fit into all my clothes.  When I would get down a few pounds, I would relax again until winter came and I gained it all back.  Are you seeing a pattern here??
Starting in March 2013, I joined a Challenge Group so that I would have motivation and accountability to actually stick with it and change my lifestyle.  I loved the set up so much that I even became a coach!  This way I HAVE to stick to it and stop hibernating over the winter! :)
I seriously love challenge groups, it is sooo much better than trying to do something on your own!
So far, I am down 10 lbs and 8 inches!  I say 'so far' because I still want to lose more body fat.
This picture was taken last night.  (About 20 pounds difference!)  I am still going to be posting my actual before and after pictures, but I still have a few days left of my 90 day challenge. :)

I made a goal that I would complete 2 more Beachbody programs before the end of the year.  One of the programs I want to do is Shaun T's new Focus T25 which comes out sometime this month!

If you would like to be in one of my challenge groups - feel free to email me - coachbethclark@outlook.comYou can also message me on facebook or comment below.  I would love to have new friends join me as I continue to remodel my body! :)

Fit Tip Tuesday - Sugar and Weight Loss

The biggest reason people get fat is SUGAR!   Sugar is terrible for weight loss. While consuming simple carbs and sugar post-workout is okay, consuming sugar and simple carbs any other time of the day is definitely bad when it comes to losing weight.
Sugar has zero nutritional value and weakens your immune system.  Sugar spikes insulin which promotes fat storage and basically shuts off fat-burning processes.  It throws off your metabolic functions and is highly addictive. It is making you fat and sick!

One of my favorite quotes comes from Tosca Reno's The Eat Clean Diet book, "We sanitize, wash, and disinfect germs we can't see without hesitation but we consume, indulge, snack, wolf down and lick at sugars and fats without a second thought".

Sugar is the leading food additive in the U.S. and it's in almost everything we eat now.  Even so-called "healthy" foods can be loaded with sugar and artificial sweeteners.

One of the worst additives is high-fructose corn syrup.  It is found in everything from cereals to protein bars to breads and even condiments.  It's quickly metabolized as fat and prevents the body from knowing it's full.

Fructose, when it is found naturally in fruit - is great because it's surrounded with healthy nutrients and fiber.  But when fructose is extracted, refined, and made into a liquid sweetener, it's a poison.

What To Expect When Cutting Out Sugar?
When cutting down or cutting out sugar one can expect to get a bit rundown due to the body going into a rapid detox, this is because sugar helps hide the feelings of eating bad or bad lifestyle. When one confronts the problem and starts eating better the liver and kidneys need to filter out all the crap that has been consumed over the many, many years..
In time over the months the health will change to feel better and the weight will start to roll off. Do this type of diet for over 6 months to see some amazing results.

If you want to learn more about eating healthy, you can join my next challenge group and get FREE coaching in a small accountability group via facebook. I will teach you everything that I know about clean eating, proper nutrition, snacks, emotional eating, and more!!!
I know that your summer is busy, you are traveling there are vacations and picnics and road trips and lots more. Don't let that be another excuse to start later. I will work around that. My goal is to help you kick the excuses, end emotional eating, arm you with the tools to be successful and teach you how to make it a lifestyle and not a crash diet.
I am excited to help you reach your health and weight loss goals!
